THE WARMEST BOTTOM IN TOWN Dec 29, 2009
This is the best Duofold men's thermal bottom in town. Need to make available in Tall men's sizes. I bought two of this style for one of my sons for Christmas and he loves them.

Material feel is OK, but they don't fit me well. Nov 24, 2009
I am an average build, 5' 11" and 175 lbs. These are (plenty) tight on the legs, and have too much material in the mid-section area for my tastes, although it would have helped if the crotch area was higher. All other locations fitting, the crotch cut is just above the half-way point between my knee and crotch. I'm not experienced with thermal underwear, maybe that's typical?

Sent my son from the desert of Nevada to continental Europe. Its now late Fall there and of all the things I sent over with him he raves about these Dufolds the most. I'm bringing him some more in December as well as a couple of sets for myself. Good stuff. Wear well and are really soft.

It seems soft. It's better than other cheaper brands I've tried. The elastic waistband is more comfortable than my other cheap waffle brands. I don't like cheap irritating elastic waistbands. I will update this if necessary. I think it's best to consider only buying one product at a time, so if you don't like it, it's no major loss (although it's more shipping, perhaps). I used to buy Arctex, but that brand is no longer on the market, unfortunately. Indera Mills Icetex (286dr) is nice, but I don't like their waistband.

Duofold makes excellent thermal underwear for those cold, cold days and nights. The cotton/polyester two layered fabric is actually extremely well made and this underwear lasts years with proper care. It can be worn as underwear under your outdoor clothes or you can wear it in bed with your pajamas on over it. Whatever way you choose you can't go wrong with Duofold thermal underwear.

The fabric is just as soft as they say it is; and this thermal underwear bottom helps to keep you much warmer than you think it would. It appears flimsy and floppy before you put it on--but after you're wearing it you'll notice a huge difference. You'll be a lot warmer with it! It also does not bunch or wrinkle easily. The elastic waistband is comfortable and as long as you get the right size for you it never feels too tight around the waist.

As for maintenance, I just put mine in the clothes washer and dryer and everything always comes out fine. If you get this in navy blue or any other color and you have concerns about the color "bleeding" onto white colored clothing, just wash this with garments that are not white. You'll be fine. In addition, it shrinks very little.
