The Lexicon MX200 Dual Reverb/Effects processor is equally at home in the studio or in live performances. The single rack-space, two-channel processor combines an intuitive front-panel design with a unique USB connection and VST or Audio Units interface for use with software recording platforms. Featuring a wide array of the rich, complex reverb algorithms Lexicon is known for; the MX200 offers versatility and instantly accessible reverb, dbx dynamics and special effects all with that signature Lexicon sound. 32 legendary Lexicon effects are packed into the MX200 and every effect and parameter is instantly accessible by a single button push or knob turn. You can use 2 reverbs or effects at once in one of 4 flexible routing options: dual mono, cascade, dual stereo (parallel), or mono split. Other front panel controls include Input Level, Effects Mix, Balance, Audition (preview mode), Tap, Tempo and Configuration. 99 carefully-crafted factory presets offer stunning reverbs and effects, with an additional 99 programmable slots that allow the user to make custom effects from dozens of effects types including halls, chambers, plates, slap and tape-type delays, dbx dynamics algorithms, and special effects like chorus, flange, tremolo and rotary. In the studio, engineers, producers, and musicians no longer have to compromise between the instant control they enjoy with plug-in effects, and the warm, complex depth of a dedicated hardware processor. They'll find both in the Lexicon MX200, which provides a USB interface with an intuitive cross-platform VST or AU plug-in window, allowing the MX200 to function as a "hardware plug-in" within any VST or AU-compatible workstation, with full automation and recall features. In live performance settings, the MX200's intuitive front panel design indicates which two effects are active, provides independent control for each 24-bit processor, and lets you quick-audition any preset.

5metheny fans -- yes you can!  Aug 12, 2010
I am a jazz guitarist and longtime fan of Pat Metheny. Could never get the sound right. This thing
nails it (not surprising since Pat uses Lexicon equipment.) Reverse reverb + chorus. Also can get
very close to Scofield, Stern, Frisell sounds out of it pretty easily. A pain to carry around if
you don't have a rack but still worth it. Lexicon should really put the thing in a stompbox form
factor.

5excellent sounding unit  Apr 05, 2010
I bought this mainly for a reverb unit for my guitar rig. I have a mesa boogie rectifier half stack and I have this in a small rack that I place on top and run through the effects loop along with my rack tuner, sonic maximizer, and power conditioner. It was an awesome setup! After about a year of playing out, the unit would not stay on its program. The LED started going crazy and it started jumping between programs and pretty much made it useless. I took it to the local electronics guy and he said there was a loose connection and fixed it. It went for a while longer and started doing it again. I finally figured out that it was probably from the vibration of the big, loud amp. I placed a folded towel between the amp head and the rack and it seems to help. I gave the unit five stars because it is a very fine unit, I just don't think it was designed for what I am using it for. I really like the fact that there are two separate processors. You can have two different effects at the same time. I really like the pitch shifting. It is totally adjustable and you can make your guitar sound like a twelve string or make your vocals sound like Layne Staley! No matter what you would use it for, this is an awesome unit that probably should cost alot more.

5Great Product!  Apr 02, 2010
I've had this about a month now and I love it. I use it for home recording and primarily use the reverbs for vocals and electric and acoustic guitars. I mess around with the delays and other effects but I love the reverbs. The reverbs and delays do not produce any feedback or noise which is great for recording. Phaser and Flanger has a little "phasing" noise but I guess all phasers and flangers will have that. Overall, I love it. You can use two effects at once which is nice, hence the term "dual effects processor". I thought it had two inputs but it only has one. No biggie, I'm a solo musician anyway. I do not record on a computer so I can't comment on USB connection but there is one so this could be a great plugin for PC recording. Good buy!

5Excellent piece of equipment.  Mar 14, 2008
I record (and sometimes perform) ambient/electronic music. Electric guitar, no synthesizers. I was searching for a reverb unit, but most effects boxes for reverb are limited and expensive. For the price, this thing is amazing. Many different reverb and delay settings as well as built in modulation effects. Easy to use, easy to program and durable.
